Dr Phare is the Practice Principal of the clinic.
A fully trained General Practitioner with an additional degree in Medical Biochemistry, Dr Phare has also undertaken extensive studies in Skin Cancer obtaining a Master of Medicine Skin Cancer degree from the University of Queensland.
Dr Phare is originally from Devon in England, and has lived in the Latrobe Valley since 2003.
Pursue on-going medical education to keep up to date with new developments in Medicine and Professional Guidelines
Have science degrees in addition to their Medical degrees.
Live in the community they serve and are committed to the Gippsland Region
Are Vocationally Registered ( ie have three years additional specialist General Practice training after graduating as doctors )
Are Fellows of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners
Dr Gilbert grew up in Eastern Melbourne and was working as a Biomedical Scientist before moving to Gippsland in 2009 to pursue her medical career.
Dr Gilbert graduated from Monash University in 2013, where she was awarded
the Prize in Clinical Medicine from the Royal Australian College of
Physicians.
Having trained locally, and now settled in the Latrobe region, Dr Gilbert is familiar with the issues affecting Gippslanders’ and is committed to rural General Practice.
Dr Gilbert has additional training in Women’s Health and Emergency Medicine, and has undertaken Skin Cancer training with the Skin & Cancer Foundation in Melbourne.
Dr Gilbert is now focusing on expanding her training in Skin Cancer Medicine, whilst continuing to work as a General Practitioner.
